Let’s Wrap Up The Year

Hello Friends.

I’ll keep this short: I know that while this is the most wonderful time of the year, it’s also arguably the most stressful. So, brief it shall be!

By now, you’ve probably been inundated with your own Spotify Wrapped: your top songs (Olivia Dean for me), favorite artists, podcasts, and so on. Everyone’s getting in on the “end-of-year recap” trend. Pantone has a Color of the Year, there’s the Word of the Year (“ragebait”), Strava shows your Year in Sport, Audible shares listening stats, and Goodreads lists the most-read books.

So, in our final full-length episode of the year, we decided to get in on the action.

In this week’s podcast, we review the year in all its glory, and I’d like to think it’s pretty funny.

We cover the highlights: the best podcast moments, top books, films, TV shows, and more. Then we dive into the more… niche bits. The most awkward, cringe-worthy “I can’t believe I said that” moments. Laura even shares a story of a Christmas-tree-related health and safety scare that had her life flashing before her eyes.

If you want to wrap up the year with some laughs, stories, and a few book and film recommendations, this episode is for you. We loved making it.

On a personal note, one huge highlight of this year is that I wrote and published a book! We’re almost two weeks post-launch, and the response has been incredible. Thank you all so much for your support.

If you haven’t yet picked up a copy, or are looking for a Christmas gift, I’d love to recommend The Purpose Pursuit. It’s the perfect way to encourage someone you care about, boost their spirits, and remind them they’re fantastic.

And if you’ve already read it and enjoyed it, would you consider leaving a review on Amazon? You can post a review even if you didn’t buy it there, as long as you have an account. It really helps, and I’d be so grateful!

P.S. I’d love to hear what you think of this week’s episode! What was your best (or most awkward) moment of the year?
