Reflecting on 2025 so far

Hello everyone,

OK, so if you were listening carefully, last week I told you that this week would have an exciting announcement. But, for various reasons outside of my control, it doesn’t.

Sorry. Next week, I promise you we will have the announcement for you, and it will be worth the wait!

As you might imagine, having to push back the announcement has meant we’ve had to do a bit of jiggling things around at sidekick HQ. A bit of good old pivoting and not panicking. We can’t use the blog or pod that was meant for this week, because it contains all the announcement surprises, and so we have had to think on our feet as to how we best provide you with quality content this week, that is still meaningful and helpful, even if it wasn’t plan A.

The solution as to what to talk to you about was partly sparked by the conversation I just recorded with the brilliant Chris Guillebeau (this is coming down the line - and will be so worth a listen!). We were talking about how we overestimate what we can achieve in a day, but on the flipside, how much can be achieved in a year. We’re heading into the middle of the year, and I wonder if you’ve taken time to reflect on what’s happened this year so far?

I think this is such a good time to stop, take a breath and catch up with yourself because, without sounding like a prophet of doom, this year will be coming to a close before you and I know it. I’m popping some questions below that might help you do a good job of checking in with you and your 2025 so far.

Reflecting isn’t always easy - I know there are things I will look back on about this year with disappointment and sadness. But, there are some other things that I am proud of, that I enjoyed, that I am grateful for. I’d also suggest you take a look back at your camera roll, or your diary to help jog your memory (if it’s anything like mine, you need the help!)

Now, to help you with this further, I want to encourage you to head back to the podcast I recorded for the start of the year about intention setting, goals for the year. This is a perfect time to go again, and make the most of the summer momentum.

I hope you enjoy reflecting and it sets you up well for this next part of the year - summer is a time for growth! And, I promise you - it will be worth opening the blog email, and listening in to next week’s podcast - the big news announcement is definitely coming your way!

Love,

Hannah

P.S. I’d love to hear from you: How’s your year panning out? What’s next for you? Hit reply to this email, or DM me on Instagram @hellohannahmiller. I always love hearing your reflections. x
