Finding Meaning in the Quiet Moments
Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
No really - how are you really doing?
Sometimes it feels like the only answer we have time for is “fine” or “busy,” doesn’t it? But I’ve been thinking lately about what it means to actually pause and check in. To ask not just how we are, but where we are: emotionally, mentally, even spiritually.
That’s why I love these Life Lately episodes. They’re a chance to slow down and make space for reflection. And based on your feedback, it’s clear you’re enjoying them, too - so here we are again.
In this week’s episode, I’m sharing some honest reflections on what’s been happening behind the scenes in my life and business. Some beautiful moments, some big pivots, and some lessons I’m still sitting with.
I recorded this episode a few weeks back. Listening back to it, I can’t quite believe how much has happened even since recording it. I’m continuing to learn about my need to control, my desire to plan and have everything lined up just as I would like it. I continue to have to face down my selfishness and my short fuse when tired. But I’m also recognising my growing ability to dig in and find strength and hope even in the hardest times.
If I’m honest, this hasn’t been an easy season in so many ways. It’s been a lot of readjusting and letting go, and behind the scenes service rather than front and centre opportunities. And although it’s not been the easiest of times, that’s not the full story. It has also been precious. I’ve seen what love looks like in the hardest of times, and been reminded that life is more about presence than performance. It’s in the quiet, unseen moments, the showing up, the staying put when things are messy - that the deepest meaning is found.
As always, thank you for listening, reading, and walking this purpose-filled path alongside me.
Love,
Hannah
